Yazan 200Yazan Arafat is an award-winning student from Palestine.  He has been recognized for his work in technology, programming, leadership, and music.  Arafat is a student at An-Najah National University and studies computer engineering.  He also volunteers in student clubs, where he is chairman of IEEE Najah Student Branch, a student partner in Microsoft, and coordinator of Recrear.


Yazan and Mustafa 200bYazan is a Palestinian from Nablus, currently in his third year studying Computer Engineering at An-Najah National University.

He believes that all it takes to accomplish any challenge is to work with passion, professional intelligent, and a bit harder toward overcoming it. It has been his goal to improve his community and beyond by volunteering with a number of organizations, both local and international.

He plans to contribute more to the global society through traveling abroad. While traveling he hopes to gain useful knowledge and experience in order to return to his homeland (Palestine) and help develop it further. Yazan have been working and volunteering with many international organizations such as Microsoft as it’s student partner, IEEE as it’s Najah Student Branch Chairman, Recrear as it’s coordinator, and Project HOPE as a teaching assistant.

Despite all what kept him busy, Arafat didn’t stop volunteering because, as he said, “there are people who can, want, and will be a part of more global society, not just as citizens but as leaders, so why standing aside while you can give more ?!”
